The problem/opportunity being addressed:
Acute need for accredited flexible, innovative delivery to (some 600 in target groups) on a regular / timely basis.
Company awareness to have as many skilled personnel in the field in such times as drought & the need to monitor water usage – need to reduce time away from work site yet balance the need for training and maintenance of skills
Constructing a program that encourages/empowers staff to learn & take control of their learning & development
Lack of established learner management system that enables tracking to occur
5. need to embed e-learning into the water industry & construct best practice around strategies/methodologies in a manner that clearly supports the national training initiatives

Isolated staff involved with water operations. |

How the training is currently delivered:
Interstate provider, plus cumbersome workshop based materials. |

How the innovation will change current delivery:
Total provision of training and assessment services to be from SA Based RTO. In addition, portions of training will now be more focused on an e-learning delivery approach. |
