This is my last day. Woke
up with mixed feelings.
Feelings of delight mixed with unbridled joy and blessed
relief. I am supposed
to be on the old Canning Stock Route but it's still too wet.
It used to take
up to four months to get a message from one end
to the other over some 1490km of really rough track - or as
recent rains have proven - mud! (Theres nothing like a
bit of history to make you really appreciate technology.)
I am no Crocodile Dundee and after all this emptiness, cyberspace is the only space I
want for a while.
Dialled into the office LAN, read and replied to e-mail.
Getting this last day of my diary together. Checked the completed
demo module of the site on Internet to see if the finished
thing, video, audio, graphics, the works had been successfully
up-loaded to the host server via satellite. It all works.
Pretty amazing! Now if the car starts Ill see you for
a coldie back in the Big Smoke.
This is Captain Shaggy of the Starship MiniSat MultiMedia
signing off. Click on the watch symbol and I'll say goodbye
in person.
PS. If Im not back in a day dont send help. Ill e-mail you!
